COURSES AND EVENTS
Registration
Registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis. The Canadian Association of Petroleum Land Administration (CAPLA) will accept orders on line and will process payment electronically (Visa or MasterCard) or through invoicing paid by cash or cheque. You must be an active member of CAPLA in order to take advantage of member pricing.
Cancellation
By participant:
CAPLA will reimburse course, professional development and event fees, minus a $50.00 administration fee, when a participant withdraws in writing (fax, e-mail or Canada Post) 15 days prior to the date of a course. A substitute may be sent in place of the registered participant if CAPLA is notified in writing at least five business days before the course. If the substitute is a non-CAPLA member, the difference in fees will be charged.
Companies that initially register a non-member and substitute a CAPLA member will not be reimbursed the balance of the fee.
When notice of a substitution is provided at least five business days before an advertised course date, an achievement certificate will be printed in the name of the substitute and distributed at course completion. When notice is given less than five business days before a course date, the certificate will be mailed to the substitute as soon as possible after the course is completed.
By CAPLA:
CAPLA reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any course prior to the advertised start date. We will make every effort to reschedule the course to an alternative date that suits the participants. If rescheduled dates are not suitable, CAPLA will refund the full registration fee.
Course Materials
CAPLA provides course materials only to individuals who register for and attend courses. It is our goal to provide educational opportunities to the membership as well as to the industry as a whole and we feel that this is best achieved if the materials are accompanied by qualified instruction. Course materials will not be provided under any circumstances to individuals who do not attend courses.
Course Development & Review
Our mandate is to develop and incorporate new courses into the education portfolio and to continually review the content of existing courses to ensure that they are meeting or exceeding industry standards. If you have any ideas for new courses or have attended a course that you think needs significant review, please contact the Education Director.
